If this resonates with you, then come and join us for the Sexuality and Spirituality retreat in Costa Rica this coming February 25 – March 3rd, 2018. It’s modeled after the S&S that happens at Shalom Mountain every summer in Livingston Manor, NY.
Why Sexuality & Spirituality? In our culture, we divide the sacred from the sexual. We can heal this split when we open in radical trust with another: to be vulnerable emotionally, physically and spiritually. This opening allows us to be outrageously loving and for us to become an avenue for the Divine. When we are held in community, our hearts can learn to love in ways we never imagined – body, mind and spirit. On this retreat, we risk being intimate with one another.
Why six days? We need time to relax, take a deep breath and remember who we are. And there is no better place than in the warm embrace of mid-winter tropics. With 80-90 degree sunny days we’ll have yoga on the beach, outdoor sessions with monkey’s, toucans and sloths in the trees overhead with deliciously fresh food. On a shorter retreat, we can avoid sharing the parts of ourselves we don’t usually show. Six days gives us time to really know each other and to love each other in those vulnerable places.
What happens on this retreat? We’ll spend time building a cohesive, loving group presence. We’ll tell our stories, share our inner experiences, dance and do yoga. Each morning we’ll have a teaching session, followed by an embodied experience. In the afternoons, we will have extra free time to connect with others and enjoy the retreat center. In the late afternoons, we gather to prepare for our evening ritual. Each process builds on the previous days teaching and there will be time for conversation, journaling, breath-work and learning about Tantra.
Who are the leaders? Cristian Graca and Kristen Chamberlin are trained Tantra teachers as well as experiences group facilitators and therapists. They have been leading sacred sexuality retreats for many years as well as teaching workshops in the philosophy and practice of the ancient art of Tantra. They are each passionate about the loving relationships in their lives. They will be assisted by Garrell Bivert.

About Big Tree Family & Retreat Center
Big Tree Family and Retreat Centre sits on the edge of the virgin rainforest where guests are immersed in the energy, sounds, sights, smells and awe of tropical wildlife with a view of the ocean – all from within the comforts of 2 large, elegant villas.
It is located within Gandoca-Manzanillo in Punta Uva on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica. The property is 1 km from the turquoise colored waters of the Caribbean Sea where you can enjoy beautiful virgin beaches, snorkeling over the coral reefs, kayaking, wildlife hikes, horseback riding and just plainly relaxing.
Designed as two vacation homes on one property for families and retreats, the property comes fully equipped. There are several private bedrooms, each with their own balcony, large exterior outdoor bathroom and private garden. There is a large outdoor open style full kitchen, dining area, and a wildlife terrace at the main house. All bedrooms come fully furnished with linens and pillows, beach and bathroom towels, clothing hangers, ceiling fans, bedside tables, lamps, and comforters for cool nights. There is also a hidden locked safe where you can protect your valuables.

I’m writing to ask for your input about booking flights to/from the Sexuality & Spirituality event in February 2018. It looks like flying in/out of San Jose Juan Santamaria (SJO) is the option. Would you let me know if this is accurate? Would you let me know what time frame is helpful, arrival/departure, for event.
